“Never be afraid to go back to where you started.”

-Suzette Grillot

Suzette Grillot has spent the past 40+ years studying, living, working, and learning on university campuses.

She has taught political science and international studies at The University of Oklahoma for more than 25 years, including 10 years as a university administrator.

 

Suzette has taught and conducted research in more than 60 countries. She developed and maintained study abroad programs around the world, including three international studies centers in Italy, Brazil, and Mexico.

 

Her academic research broadly concerns global security issues, particularly weapons proliferation and arms control. She is currently researching fentanyl trafficking. She has co-authored several books and been published in numerous academic journals.

 

Off campus, Suzette co-founded Equity Brewing Co., the first all women owned and operated craft brewery in the state of Oklahoma.

 

She also founded the Third Space Foundation and has served as its executive director for more than five years. The local 501c3 provides fiscal sponsorship for small community organizations needing assistance administering their charitable activities.
